Queens Community House offers new ESOL classes in Jackson Heights, free of charge
Queens, NY (February 27, 2018) - Queens Community House (QCH) will begin offering ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes on March 5, 2018 through its Beacon Program located in P.S. 149 in Jackson Heights. Students must register for classes prior to attending.
Registration takes place from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday, February 28 and Thursday, March 1 at 93-11 34th Avenue, Jackson Heights, NY 11372. All adults need to bring a photo ID to register. There is no fee to register or attend classes. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and are for adults only.
Course are designed to meet the needs of students at all levels. Former students have reported feeling more confident at work, in their children’s schools and in doctor's offices. “We teach English that our participants can use as soon as they leave the classroom,” says Bino Realuyo, QCH’s Director of Adult Education.
