Forest Hills Times: Queens Community House recognized for youth development program

The Queens Community House was recently awarded Algorhythm’s 2018 HI Impact Award.

Algorhythm, a leader in youth development program evaluation, studied more than 4,000 youth across the nation and identify those who demonstrated exceptional growth in social and emotional learning (SEL) over the course of a program year.

“Each year, we analyze the data collected by our growing community of more than 300 programs across 20 states, in order to identify organizations and programs supporting exceptional growth in SEL so that we can celebrate their success and highlight fresh insights to support all of us in helping young people to thrive,” said Algorhythm contributor Monica Kriete in a statement.

The award was given to programs and organizations demonstrating exceptional success in youth development. Queens Community House was the only nonprofit in the borough that received the national honor.
