QCH Hosts 2024 Celebrating Local Heroes Event at Forest Hills Stadium

On June 12 at Forest Hills Stadium, Queens Community House, one of the borough's largest social service organizations, hosted the Celebrating Local Heroes event on the iconic stage. Queens neighbors and community stakeholders gathered for a fun evening to connect, enjoy a cocktail reception, see wonderful art of participants from our older adult centers, participate in a silent auction with great packages, and celebrate individuals who have made an impact on Queens. QCH honored Sal Favia, former QCH Board Member, while also awarding longtime QCH volunteer Paul Khahera with the 2024 Irma Rodriguez Community Builder Award.
