NY1: Forest Hills Stadium launches program to benefit Queens nonprofit | June 2026: Forest Hills Stadium has made a lot of memories over the years. Once home to the U.S. Open for tennis, it has also been a music venue hosting everyone from The Beatles and Stones, to Sinatra and Streisand.
The historic stadium in Queens is welcoming music fans back this summer, with an eclectic lineup of shows.
"We have Wilco this weekend, Kes the weekend after that. We are bringing back the All Things Go Festival again, which we are really excited about. I'm personally very excited about the David Byrne show, and there's many, many more," said Jason Brandt, the general manager at the venue.
Past shows include Bob Dylan in the 1960s, along with Queens' own Paul Simon, who also performed with Art Garfunkel. Jon Batiste, the Zac Brown Band, Erika Badu, Hayley Williams, and Geese have also taken the stage.
Meanwhile, not far away at Queens Community House's Forest Hills Community Center, seniors are making their own music as part of an older adult program. Queens Community House is one of the largest nonprofit organizatons in the borough serving more than 30,000 people, with a variety of programs for all ages.
"Citizenship and English classes too, an LGBTQ drop-in center for teens and young adults. We have home delivered meals, we do young adult workforce programming. We have a construction site where we're training them, getting their OSHA certification," said Tamanna Saidi, director of corporate partnerships at the nonprofit. "Those are just a few of the things that we are providing for the community alongside a plethora of programs and services that we have."
Forest Hills Stadium has partnered with Queens Community House for more than a decade.
Under a new initiative, dubbed "Making Cents for Queens," this concert season, 25 cents from every beer and cocktail sold will go directly to the nonprofit.
"Every show that we do, now benefits someone in a real tangible way through what all the great things they do at Queens Community House,' said Brandt.
Saidi added that it's key to have partners like Forest Hills Stadium to help deliver the services they provide around Queens.
"Having our local institutions invest back in the nonprofits around them... it shows that they're not just there to provide a concert and entertainment, but they actually care about the communities that they're in," said Saidi.
For a full schedule of shows head to the stadium's website for a chance to hear music and help some neighbors too.
