WCBS Radio: Ben Thomases live to discuss affordable housing push at site of Queens psychiatric center | June 2023: An old psychiatric hospital in eastern Queens could be the site of one of the city's biggest residential redevelopments.
Over the weekend, hundreds filled the parking lot across from the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in Queens Village, calling for whatever replaces it to be 100% affordable.
"110 acres of state-owned land is simply an enormous opportunity," said Ben Thomases, who leads the nonprofit Queens Community House.
