Meet Your Neighbor: Rebecca Stewart

"During SYEP this summer, I didn’t think I would like the experience that much, and I figured I would be doing it solely for the money. But while working at Hillcrest High School in IT as an SYEP intern, I was able to establish new connections with so many different people that I wouldn't have been able to meet without this experience. It opened my eyes to the importance of putting myself out there because the people I've met turned out to be very fun people to be around, and I’ve gotten the chance to get to know them better even after SYEP has ended. QCH SYEP helped me make new friends while also gaining good work experience to take with me into the real world, and I’m very thankful for that."
