More than 1000 people turned out for a "Peruvian Town Hall" at our Beacon program in Jackson Heights.

On March 31, more than 1,000 people attended a Peruvian Town Hall organized by The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) at QCH's Beacon program at PS 149 in Jackson Heights. This event  was organized to connect the local Peruvian community to resources and services available in their community.

“It was the biggest event that the MOIA has ever organized,” said Sandro Navarro, MOIA’s Queens organizer.

Attendees enjoyed live music, presentation from community organizations, and a resource fair.

Nick Gulotta of MOIA personally thanked QCH’s Beacon staff for the tremendous work put into this successful event.
