English for Speakers of Other Languages

We offer free intensive English classes for adults. In our interactive classes, students learn English while learning useful information for their roles as parents, workers, job seekers, and future voters. Students learn English grammar, practical information, and technology skills that they can use as soon as they leave the classroom. Meet Farrukh, a former professor who talks about his difficult life in Russia and struggling in America because he couldn't speak English. Our ESOL program served as a first step for him building a new life with his family in Queens, and our English2Work program has given him hope in becoming a professor again.
