Reporter Alyssa Paolicelli visited QCH to share David Schneier's story of managing his caseload of high-risk older adults during Winter Storm Grayson, which hit on January 4. She also reported QCH's need for volunteers for the Friendly Visiting program.
On September 20, more than 100 Aramark associates will volunteer to support Queens Community House (QCH), on Aramark Building Community Day (ABC Day), the company’s global day of service.
“My sister lived in the Forest Hills Coop for many years. She introduced me to her neighbor and that man became my husband. I took care of them both for many years with the help of QCH and the NORC program.
Queens Community House, a $16 million dollar nonprofit offering social services to youth, families and older adults, has officially launched its Friendly Visiting Program.
