Every Conversation Counts: LENA Grow in Action

Since 2022, QCH's Queens Childcare Network (QCCN) has partnered with LENA Grow to help family childcare providers strengthen young children’s language development through innovative “talk pedometer” technology, personalized coaching, and data-driven insights. By tracking words and conversational turns between caregivers and children, LENA Grow gives providers valuable insight into their everyday interactions and tools to create richer, language-filled environments.

To date, more than 40 QCCN-affiliated childcare providers have participated across 12 LENA Grow cohorts, positively impacting more than 450 children. Our new video highlights the impact of this partnership on providers, children, and their families, featuring Hamilton Beach Group Family Daycare, led by Yaqueline Cuevas and Victor Feliz, as well as a parent sharing how the experience has supported their child’s growth.
