Apoyo Queens Community House
Queens Community House brinda a las personas y las familias las herramientas para enriquecer sus vidas y construir comunidades saludables e inclusivas.

As you walk through Queens, you might spot one of QCH's Home Delivered Meals vehicles making its rounds—bringing nutritious meals and care to neighbors across the borough. Since 1984, our Home Delivered Meals program has ensured that homebound older adults across Queens receive not only food, but also connection and dignity. Whether it’s hot meals prepared by our senior centers or options that reflect cultural preferences—like Kosher or Asian cuisine—QCH remains dedicated to supporting neighbors in ways that honor their unique needs and circumstances. This past story from 2017 shows how that commitment came full circle for one Forest Hills family who once volunteered to support their community, and later found that same support in return.
"I am a Forest Hills local, and my elderly dad, Kenny, has been receiving QCH’s Meals on Wheels service for about three months now.
It's been such a blessing for him (and us) because he's mostly homebound due to his poor vision. He's nearly 80. My sister and I are his care-takers, but the meals help support our efforts, and the social worker that visits my father, Hannah, is so wonderful and kind.
A few years ago, I volunteered during QCH’s Spring fundraising event. I walked up and down Austin Street asking local businesses for gift cards, donations, and support for Queens Community House. I did this to stay involved with my community and give back. I had no idea the organization would one day support my family when we needed it the most."
