Meet Your Neighbor: Luke Yi

"I'm a 7th grader at St. Kevin Catholic Academy in Flushing, and I love playing piano. Last summer, I visited my grandparent who stays in assisted living. I was able to play piano for everyone there, and they all really enjoyed it. As a pianist, I always look for opportunities to play for others. I really enjoy playing as a hobby. When I found out about the Kew Gardens Community Center, I was interested in becoming a volunteer. Since my first day there, I've had so much fun playing piano and seeing the happy faces of the older adults. Music truly is a universal language. I am so lucky to be a volunteer at QCH."
