Meet Your Neighbor: Ginna Leyton

"I was a teacher in Colombia for many years. When I came to the United States, I knew I wanted to stay committed to giving children the love, care, training, and guidance they deserve. I was excited when I got the opportunity to become a childcare provider with the Queens Childcare Network. This work is important to me because through daily experiences with children, I can touch their lives in a positive way, improving their skills to relate to others, as well as building their empathy and contributing to the development of their intelligence. Connecting with children in this type of environment is helpful for families in Queens because the different activities we do are beneficial to the long-term development of the children."
